St. John's Mission
St. John's is an inclusive and welcoming community of believers, guided by the Holy Spirit, journeying in faith willing to be the instruments of Jesus' love and compassion; walking the extra mile in mission, offering, wellness and fellowship, and together proclaiming and celebrating the Good News of Jesus Christ.

We offer many activities at St. John's to promote and reinforce our mission. We encourage members to support this mission by participating in the activities and programs of the church. We also seek to share our time, talent, and treasure helping others in need in our community and abroad, caring for one another as God cares for us.

If you are seeking a church home, please consider joining us for worship or contacting our pastor with questions. Please know that you are truly welcomed here at St. John's ucc. Our worship services begin at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Each concludes with a coffee hour in the Narthex. We offer Sunday School for all ages at 9:30am. We offer Nursery during our 11:00 a.m. service for children through 1st grade. Our sanctuary is air-conditioned. St. John's in handicapped accessible. An elevator serves all floors of the buidling and is accessible from the side or back parking lot.

We believe in You, O God, Eternal Spirit,

God of our Savior Jesus Christ and our God, and to Your deeds we testify:

You call the worlds into being, create persons in Your own image,

and set before each one the ways of life and death.

You seek in holy love to save all people from aimlessness and sin.

You judge people and nations by Your righteous will,

declared through prophets and apostles.

In Jesus Christ, the man of Nazareth, our crucified and risen Savior,

You have come to us and shared our common lot,

conquering sin and death and reconciling the world to Yourself.

You bestow upon us Your Holy Spirit,

creating and renewing the church of Jesus Christ,

binding in covenant people of all ages, tongues, and races.

You call us into Your Church to accept the cost and joy of discipleship,

to be Your servants in the service of others,

to proclaim the gospel to all the world and resist the powers of evil,

to share in Christ’s baptism and eat at His table,

to join Him in His passion and victory.

You promise to all who trust You

forgiveness of sins and fullness of grace,

courage in the struggle for justice and peace,

Your presence in trial and rejoicing,

and eternal life in Your realm which has no end.

As much as we'd like to display pictures of our children, youth, and congregation members, we've decided not to do so. Privacy issues nowithstanding, St. John's UCC has implemented a Safe Church Policy, which precludes identifiable picture displays without written release and is intended to continue St. John's practice of making our church a safe and secure place for all.
