St. John's Single Serving Information

St. John's Single Serving went to the Red Barn Theatre to see "Getting Sara Married" on June 17. What a funny play it was! We went to the Waterhole for dinner and had a great dinner and even better conversation. There were 11 of us that went. The next Singles outing is July 20. This is the night that St. John's Buys Out The Barn! This night just isn't limited to Singles, it's open to anyone. If there is an interest in dinner please let me know, we can make arrangements to ALL go together, if interested. The play will be "The Butler Did It" another comedy. Tickets are available from Diane Iman at church. They are $10.00. On August 25 we will once more travel to the Red Barn to see Honus and Me. At this time, I think we will go to Strawberry Ridge on Scott Ridge Rd, north of Zelienople for dinner. You'll be receiving more info on this as August comes nearer.

Reservations must be made with me by August 15! Tickets will be $10.00.

Looking ahead we have Sept 22 on the schedule for our last trip of the year to the Red Barn. This will be a musical "The 1940's Radio Hour." Sounds like a night of good music!

Reservations are due by Sept 13th. Ticketswill be $12.00 (I think).

Meals on Wheels Donations Needed !!!

St John’s is responsible again this summer for desserts, pudding, jello and fresh fruit for the Meals on Wheels program. There are 40 clients that are served at the Lutheran Church in Zelienople, 10 of these clients are diabetic. If you are able to provide pudding or jello, snack packs are great! Baked goods such as cookies, cupcakes and prepackaged cakes work well. Also the store bought treats for diabetics give these folks a treat as well. I would like to try something different this year with fresh fruit donations. Since fruit is often perishable after a few days, donations of money will be used to supply fresh fruit on a day to day basis. I will purchase the fruit and deliver it. I would truly appreciate any help you can give me with this worth while mission. A detailed sign-up sheet will be passed around the first Sunday in August. Our weeks to supply food is August 9

Choir Rehearsal Begins

Choir Rehearsal begins on September 1 at 7pm.  Everyone is Welcome!

Comedy by: Tim Kelly

Directed by: Hazel Zimmerman

This spoof of English mysteries finds Miss Maple, a society dowager noted for her imaginative weekend parties, awaiting a group of detective writers invited to eerie Ravenswood Manor, where they are to assume the personalities of their fictional characters. She's arranged all sorts of scary, amusing incidents. Then a real murder takes place and the guests realize they're all marked for death. When they're not busy tripping over the clues, the zany sleuths trip over one another. It's a spiny mystery with a generous injection of wild humor. The Players are thrilled to be reprising this delightful comedy last produced at the Barn in 1983
